Barack Obama criticized Bush's surge in January of 2008 as a contributing to the problems of Iraq.  On Obama's campaign website, his criticisms were posted in "The Problem" section.  However, just recently, Obama's aids have removed such criticisms, in large part, because the surge has been a success on a number of significant fronts.

Obama wants the public to see him has a visionary who faithfully practices sound judgment, especially concerning issues of foreign policy.  So my question is, what his response to this apparent lapse in judgment concerning the surge?
