This is mainly for fun. What would be some ideas you would have for a reality show? Or how would you improve on current ones?
Come on, our ideas couldn't be worse than anything that is already out there.
My husband and I were talking last night about this. I thought this might be a fun idea for, like, Comedy Central or something:
In the tradition of
My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance or
The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, have a dating reality show where someone is trying to find a date or whatever and is picking from a field of 'candidates'. Or, have a person's friends meet the 'candidates' to help make the decision who should go forward. But, it's a stunt. All of the candidates are in on the joke, and their mission is not to impress the main person, but to see how far they can push that person until they are 'dumped'. Basically, they act as obnoxious as possible and go out of their way to annoy the person (and/or their friends) in a harmless way, until the person narrows it down to the person who they are the least annoyed by. Or else throws in the towel. The joke can be revealed then, that all of the candidates were deliberately being idiots and that it was a practical joke. Not sure if the person's friends would be in on the joke or not.
I would not do this to a constestant who is seriously looking for a long-term relationship so much as someone who is doing the show for fun or publicity, which seems like most of them to me. Extra points if the contestant is an obnoxious celebrity, as it might be fun to see who can out-annoy someone like Courtney Love or Flava Flav.
What would be an idea for a reality show for you? Some ideas, like this one, might sound mean, but I find it hard to believe that a person could seriously think they could find a real relationship on a reality show. And some of the dating ones are pretty mean already.
