BeliefCorner is a forum where people of all faiths are welcome to discuss and debate the merits of Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and other such religions! It is important to us that this small community of interlocutors are to maintain a healthy respect toward each other during the course of conversation.

Registered members of Beliefcorner are not to engage in any behavior that is illegal, which includes endangering, threatening to endanger, or making suggestions to endanger individuals.

Self Promotion:

Members of BeliefCorner may NOT use the forum to request money or things of physical value from other individuals, nor shall they use BeliefCorner as a platform to recruit members for other forums.

BeliefCorner members represent a wide array of religious and spiritual backgrounds - all are invited to participate in conversations relevant to the category headings of the forum. We encourage open-minded discussions, and we ask members here participate with true courtesy toward your fellow member.

We will not censor members for expressing an opinion unless it violates the Terms of Conduct. We will not allow behavior that purposefully disrupts conversation.

Due consideration: You agree to be considerate to members, even during disagreements. During debate, please express opinions about a poster's ideas, not about them personally. Civil discussion is the cornerstone value of Beliefcorner; disrespectful posting will not be tolerated. This will be referred to as the Ad Hominem rule. And this rule includes, but is not limited to, making inflammatory remarks about a member's gender, ethnicity, race, sexual preference, religion, or intelligence.

Disorderly conduct: You agree not to use disruptive language or to disrupt discussions, which includes deliberately changing the direction of a topic or obstructing its natural flow. Deliberately changing the direction of a topic will be referred to as the Red Herring rule.

Crusading: You agree not to use these boards to promote personal crusades. BeliefCorner is a place for civil and ecumenical discussion. It is not to be used as an apparatus to pursue personal agendas.

Distasteful expression:  You agree not to post messages with the intent to incite anger, unfairly malign persons (non-members) without sufficient proposition, or post vulgar or distasteful images on the website.  

Sexual content: You agree not to use sexually explicit language not suitable for minors, which includes detailed descriptions of sexual activity or sexually explicit humor. This will be referred as the Pg-13 rule.

Proselytizing: Although members are permitted to proselytize on this forum, unwanted attempts to convert another member's religious beliefs are not welcome. This will be referred to as the Conversion rule.

Spam: You agree not to repeat substantially the same content (including URLs) on this forum.

Copying messages: You agree not to post or forward transcripts of e-mail or other personal communication without the author's express permission.

Use of code: You agree not to upload or link to any other code, tags, scripts, animations, file or program. You agree not to post content that is visually disruptive.

Contact information: You agree to provide a valid e-mail address in your BeliefCorner profile at all times.

Impersonation: You agree not to impersonate or spoof BeliefCorner members, employees, hosts, volunteers, revered religious figures or public figures.

Multiple identities: You agree not to have dual identities or to use different usernames. If we suspect or have reason to believe a member has dual identities or a member has more than one username, we retain the right to terminate membership or to ban users.

Complaints: If there are problems, please contact us. Do not report complaints on the discussion boards, but rather utilize the "report a problem" link.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership for the violation of any of the above rules based upon either an unwillingness to heed warnings or upon what we deem to be grossly signficant infractions -- no questions asked.

We have the right to delete posts or threads that are either not relevant to the category headings on the forum or disruptive in nature without explanation, unless one is requested by using the provided link.
